So, with two reviews of new releases I thought I could look more into a old release. This time I'm talking about Chicago Japanese Premium box-Limited Edition. For everyone of you that loved the film, here is a box that truly lives up to "All That Jazz". From sexy pantyhose to address book, lets have a look.
The box is wrapped
with a black belly band made out of cardboard.The bellyband is all
black and have the text "Chicago" written on it with red letters,just
as the DVD cover. When you slide off the belly band you get a look
of the box.The box is big and fills up some space in your shelves.
If you bought it just for display you should have the box standing
open.

The whole box is build of hard cardboard and it feels solid and firm. Inside you have smaller compartments where all the extras are stacked well together. This is however build with thinner cardboard and it is quite simple. If they continued using the same cardboard size and thickness on the whole set it would look much better. Of course adding heavier cardboard would make this set heavier but nothing wrong with that. I just got the impression that some parts could have been done differently. But we can't always get our way. The lock is attached to the box with help of two threads just like a jewel box. The 2 disc Special Edition DVD got slipcase packaging with a normal keep case inside.. All the text on the cover is written in Japanese. Inside the DVD there is a lyric sheet with all the lyrics from the movie. This is also written in Japanese, but a nice little extra. |

Lets move further down and as you lift up the DVD compartment you get to see all these extra things lying beneath. There are some cute extras following this box set and the designers must had quite an imagination. |

In this set you have some nice extras for both men an women. Lets start with the women shall we?. First of all you got a pair of black tights! Yes, you read correctly. If you buy this set you get a pair of fishnet tights. It is printed "Chicago" on the pack. Have to say that this was not what I expected to see, but a nice addition to it. And who knows., maybe you get to try them on in the future? There is also a little red, heart shaped perfume bottle with a golden top included in this set. It is quite little, but pretty adorable. Chicago is again written on the bottle. |

For the guys there is also a cigarette case that you can also use as a cardholder. Nice shiny little case, made out of metal. Chicago is written on the top. |

Next thing is an amazing booklet. Medium size and of course black. The booklet show us some great photos from the movie, listing the cast and other information. However, even if the text is written in Japanese the photos are nice and the booklet is well put together. |

The last thing you get is a blue address /notebook. Good to have and plenty of space for your own notes. All the extras has "Chicago" written on them so that might stop you for using them in real life, but they are all well made. |

I think these extras
are quite nice additions to the movie and it matched the movie perfectly.
Overall this is a
good looking box set with alot of good extras.Thougt I thought that
the inside material of the box could have been done better, the
extras are planned thoughtfully to match the movie and I think they
did. It is a nice set to have in your collection and a must buy
if you are are a fan of the movie.Though it is said in the text
from retailers that this box is limited I can`t find out how many
have been made.

The box as I said is made out of thick cardboard and its seems very hard and solid.The two threads holding the lock attaced seems to be glued on very tight.If they fall of, just glue them back on. No problem. The compartmens holding the dvd and the extras could have been made better, but they work OK. Have to advise you to be careful when handeling these if you don`t want any cuts or damages.

One perfume bottle, a Deluxe booklet with infomation and images, a notebook, lyrich sheet, cigarette case and panthyhoose are all very nice extras. Here you get something for both gender and that you actually can use. A set with a nice, sexy touch and a great addition to your collection.

Watched the movie for the first time today and enjoyed it. The box is a really good looking and like I said before, buy it if you are a fan of the movie. If you haven`t watched yet, you should. Then you can decide if this is a set for you.
