Dawn of the Dead/
Shaun of the Dead LE (Korea)

written by Juice / photos by Juice

Limited to only 500 copies, this LE seemed to be a great addition for any DVD collector. Pre-release photographs showed a boxed set sporting a clear cover with bloody handprints covering portions of it.

However, when this DVD was released, the final product was very different. Does the LE still hold up as a item to seek and purchase? Read on for an answer!

Wow. That's quite a difference. Pre-lease photgraph on the top, and actual delivered set on the bottom. Instead of what appeared to be a clear plastic case in the pre-lease images, we're given a cardboard slipcase that houses the two digipaks. Not very exciting!

The two dvd cases slip snugly inside, so snugly that there are absolutely no extras in this DVD. There aren't even chapter lists inside the cases, only a single DVD for each release.

That's it? Yep. The only thing really limited about this set is the slipcase that it comes in. It's made out of thick cardboard, and does it's job as a case for the two DVD's that come in this set. For a "limited edition" the basic packaging and lack of extras is sorely disappointing.

The part I most enjoy about this set is the wording on the spine, which states that this set titled "Shaun of the Dead Meet Dawn of the Dead".

Also, for the price, this is a nice set. Retailed around $35 US, it's cheaper to buy this LE than it is to buy the movies separately. Note, both of the releases in this version do NOT have DTS.

5 for being absolutely standard and average. It works, but that's about it.

Not even a chapter list...come on guys!
