I, Robot Limited Tin (UK)

written by Juice / photos by Juice

Juice here again, reviewing the I, Robot: Two Disc Limited Edition Collector's Tin - which was an exclusive to Amazon.co.uk. Not necessarily a limited edition, the fact that it's exclusive to Amazon.co.uk warrants it a review. We will of course review the I, Robot Sonny Japanese LE when it comes out.

This is not a fancy edition of I, Robot, but it's a nice set for its price. You receive the 2 disc edition, which comes in a nice if not standard tin. The front is embossed with the title of the movie and Will Smiths name. The tin itself is nice, but typical of the tins that are being released.

The contents include 2 DVDs of the movie and extras, 4 single sided postcards that show various stills from the movie, and a holograph card that portrays the name of the movie and a close up of Sonny.

Since this is a fairly standard tin release, I can only recommend this to fairly serious I, Robot fans and DVD collectors. There is another LE that is only available on www.mvc.co.uk for 7 pounds more. It includes more content, such as more cards, a poster, a LE senitype, CDA internet passport, etc. I don't have that set, so I could not review it, but from specs alone, if you are looking for an LE set of I, Robot, and don't like the appearance or simply don't want to buy the upcoming Japanese LE, the www.mvc.co.uk release might be your way to go.

- Juice's Verdict -

- Build Quality: 7 -

Not that there is anything wrong with set itself, but it's just a basic tin. Not much room to go wrong, and not that much room to really shine. I give this a 7 because although it gets the job done, there's nothing all that exciting about it.

- Content and Extras: 4 -

1 tin, 4 postcards, and a holograph card doesn't amount to much. For only a few pounds more there is what appears to be a far superior LE in terms of extras.

- Overall Rating: 5 -
